I know I'm so behind, but I want to make up for it and have some record and memory of this special time of our lives. I have been working on a "Baby's 1st Year Calendar" and am noticing how quickly Lily is already learning and growing right before our eyes. I hate that I've already missed out on recording so much and I'm already starting to forget sweet little details that I want to remember. Hopefully I can go back in time and at least make not of some of our special occasions of the past year in bringing our Baby Girl to life! :)
Prior to the ultra sound, BJ's mom, Janna, asked if it would be okay if she came to the clinic and waited in the waiting room so she could be the first to hear. We were happy to oblige. This is her first sweet grandchild, I don't blame her for her wonderful enthusiasm. We were given a little pink bracelet that said "It's A Girl" and BJ asked if he could do the honors. She was thrilled but said she'd be happy either way, though, she's always known that BJ's first child would be a girl. After the initial excitement, Janna made us wait there, then ran down the hall. She returned with a bag of baby girl clothes from Carters. Earlier on in the pregnancy she and her girlfriends went shopping in Utah and was so good about keeping it a secret from me. She had to hide it down the hall, just in case her intuition was off. :) It's funny to me that we all knew this baby would be a girl, even BJ, he just wanted to be the wind of opposition. Silly boy.
Mom and Terra were waiting close by the phone, somewhat impatiently considering I had my regular check up right after the ultrasound so they had to wait an extra hour to find out. When we did get to our phones, we had fun teasing just to keep up the suspense, that didn't last long. Mom threatened to ask Tracy, my midwife, as she has an appointment with her later that day. As expected they were more that excited! Now our sweet "it" has a gender and a name! We quickly went to BJ's workplace, Office Max, and had photo copies made for the grandparents and to sent to Aunt Ani in California serving her mission.
For BJ, I think this was one of the experiences that made this past year that much more real... there's really a person in there and we're going to be parents!!!

Here's to blogging!
Decided I need to be better about keeping some kind of family history and that I'd be more likely to do some blog journaling where the computer is so readily available, at all times. Let's not think about the fact that I have a journal sitting on my nightstand collecting dust.... This will be more fun, right!? Here goes!!
About Me...
I absolutely love my life! I married my best friend on August 15, 2009 in the Idaho Falls LDS temple. We met 3 years ago last January and it's been an adventure since.I bought a house in May of 2009 from my Aunt Vicki and we are loving being homeowners and taking care of our twin black cats, Rocky and Gigi.
I'm working at the Pocatello Police Department as a 911 Dispatcher and am loving it. BJ is finding whatever odd jobs he can from acting as a Jester to illustrating books, meanwhile waiting by his phone for the school district to call him for a substituting job at any school in the Pocatello/ Chubbuck area. I live for my family and the gospel of Jesus Christ, without those two things this life wouldn't be worth living. I love meeting new people and having all kinds of friends old and new!
I couldn't ask for a better life!
